Marta Villalobos

Marta is a senior data analyst and spatial developer with extensive experience in local government. She works as a senior analyst at Hackney Council (London, UK)  and provides insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Marta also develops web maps, dashboards, and other data products to keep residents informed about the council’s agenda and facilitate access to open data.

She holds a degree in environmental sciences from the University of Granada and completed a master’s in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from the University of Alcala (Madrid). Marta also holds a Level 4 Higher Certificate in Web DevelopmentMarta has been a member of the Women+ in Geospatial since 2020. She joined the mentorship programme as a mentee in Cohort 4 and has been a mentor and mentorship programme coordinator from Cohort 5. Marta has become co-lead of the mentorship programme in 2024.
