Help us strengthening the Women+ in Geospatial community

Women+ in Geospatial started as a grassroots initiative in 2019 and grew into a growing global community of more than 5,500 women and nonbinary people in the geospatial field from 149 countries. One of our guiding principles is to keep the community accessible to everyone, hence free for every woman and non-binary person to join. This will never change.

Our organisation runs entirely on contributions from our community – time, energy, ideas, funding. As we have grown, so have our costs to run our community, e.g. for event management platform subscriptions or website hosting.

We have reached a point where we need to invest in paid solutions to run and strengthen this community. Our goal for this year is to migrate off Slack to a modern community platform which will help us improve the member experience and support the needs of our mentorship program.
