Esther is an experienced Business Development and Project Management professional with a focus in geospatial and digital transformation. With several years of varied experience in the GIS and Creative industry, she has managed projects for multinational brands like Google Nigeria, JC Decaux, British Council among others, and she is also involved in promoting and implementing geospatial solutions for Government and Private organizations across West Africa.
She serves as the Deputy Director (Strategy/Business Development) at Sambus Geospatial Limited where she drives business transformation strategies and manages partnership alliances. She is also the CoFounder of Geoluminous Co. Ltd – a female-founded startup that’s keen on driving tech innovation and creativity in the geospatial industry; and theGISgirl – a nonprofit academy that teaches and empowers girls to go into geo-related fields in line with SDGs 4 and 5.
Esther has a Higher Diploma in Surveying and Geoinformatics, and a Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Science and Resource Management. She is a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner and was selected among the 50 Rising Stars of 2021 by the Geospatial World Forum.
Her involvement with African Women in GIS and Women+ in Geospatial is borne out of her enthusiasm to see women push boundaries as well as contribute in making progress towards a better diverse and inclusive industry.
Esther loves to-do lists, playing board games, watching TV series and travelling.
